Meredith graduated from Northwest High School in 2018 where she was a four-year member of the Sidekicks and spent her Sophomore year as Lieutenant, Junior year as Captain and Senior year as Major. Meredith is currently attending Texas Woman’s University where she’s majoring in Dance Education. She hopes to eventually become a Drill Team Director.
Tiffany has been a dancer since the age of 3. She graduated from Belton High School in 2008 where she was a Lieutenant of the Magic Belles. She attended Texas A&M University where she was an active member of Sigma Phi Lambda Sorority, Vice President and Choreographer for Aggies and Motion, and co-created and lead Rejoice, a dance worship event on the A&M campus. Throughout college, she spent her summers at T Bar M Camps where she led team building activities for dance teams from across Texas. Tiffany has taught at several dance studios in the central Texas area as well as being the head director for Taylor High School (2015-2016) and Eastside Memorial High School (2016-2018). She has a passion for helping students realize and achieve dreams and goals they didn't even know they had. Tiffany and her husband just celebrated the birth of their first child in January 2019.
Angela graduated from Hebron High School where she was a four-year member and First Lieutenant of the Silver Wings Drill Team. She attended Texas Tech University where she majored in dance and was a four-year member of Dancers with Soul Hip Hop team. She is currently Director of the Eagle Emeralds Drill Team at Rogers Middle School in Prosper.
Emily graduated from Magnolia West High School where she was a Fillie for three years and danced on the Senior team at Dance Connections. She attended Texas A&M University where she served as Public Relations Chair, Vice President and President of the largest dance organization on campus, Dance Arts Society. She graduated in 2018 with her BBA in Marketing. She now works in Dallas at a digital marketing and video production agency. Erin is a graduate of Belton High School, where she was a four-year member of the Magic Belles Drill Team. She was the leader of the team’s hip hop company for three years, and a class officer her Senior year. After high school, she became a member of the nationally ranked MCC Dance Company. Erin then transferred to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and graduated with a degree in Physical Education with a pedagogy in Exercise and Sports Science. She was on the school’s dance team for two years, was Captain her second year and is now the team’s choreographer. She is also a lead company instructor/choreographer at her studio and resides in central Texas with her husband, Tyler, and two Boston Terriers, Texan and Toro.
Kailyn is a proud 2018 graduate of Wylie East High School. She was a four-year member of the Wylie East Sapphires, serving as Lieutenant her Senior year. Kailyn currently attends Blinn College and is on the Blinn Treasures Dance Team.
Erin is a graduate of Belton High School, where she was a four-year member of the Magic Belles Drill Team. She was the leader of the team’s hip hop company for three years, and a class officer her Senior year. After high school, she became a member of the nationally ranked MCC Dance Company. Erin then transferred to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and graduated with a degree in Physical Education with a pedagogy in Exercise and Sports Science. She was on the school’s dance team for two years and was Captain her second year. Erin is now the Assistant Director of the Belton High School Magic Belles. She is also a lead company instructor/choreographer at her studio and resides in central Texas with her husband, Tyler, and two Boston Terriers, Texan and Toro.
Kelsey is a proud eight-year HTEDance staff member. She graduated from Clear Lake High School where she was a member of the Fabulous Falcon Flairs and served as Junior Lieutenant then Captain her Senior year. Kelsey graduated form Stephen F. Austin State University with a BS in Dance Education and her Secondary Teaching Certificate. While at SFA, she enjoyed her time on the National Champion SFA Pom Squad, Jack Attack and Repertory Dance Company. Kelsey is the Director of the Clear Springs High School Silverados Dance Team and loves living out her passion every day.
Marc recently graduated from Port Isabel High School where he was a four-year member and two-year Captain of the Silver Belles. He received numerous honors and awards including All Star Dancer, Best Jumps and favorite Senior. Marc has also worked with many schools helping with choreography and technique in the Rio Grande Valley. This will be Marc’s first year with HTEDance.
Melanie is currently a student at the University of Texas at El Paso where she is studying to get her BFA in Dance Performance. At UTEP, she is a member of the Golddigger dance team and an officer of Desert Dance within the Theatre and Dance Department. She has been a part of numerous stage productions as well. Melanie also is an instructor at Bazaar Models and Talent Agency where she teaches various styles of dance.
Brandon graduated from John F. Kennedy High School where he was a two-year member and Colonel of the Rockstars Dance Team. He received numerous awards including Grand Champion soloist of HTEDance and officer of the year. He is currently attending Sam Houston State University pursuing a degree in Design and Development Engineering with a minor in Dance. Brandon is also on the Orange Pride Dance Team at Sam Houston and just received a prestigious scholarship for his major. He just finished his spring internship with Social Movement Contemporary Dance Company in Houston, Texas and is absolutely proud to represent and be a part of the HTEDance family.
Ryan has been an HTEDance Staff member since 2011. She graduated from Cypress Ridge High School in 2007 where she was a member and dance officer of the Dazzler Dance Team. Ryan was a World Famous Kilgore College Rangerette from 2007-2009. After Kilgore, she completed her education at Texas State University earning a BFA in Dance Studies. Ryan is starting her 7th year as an educator in Cypress Fairbanks ISD and is the proud director of the Jersey Village Gold Dusters.
Katelyn graduated from Texas State University where she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelors in English. While at Texas State, Katelyn was a world famous Texas State Strutter and was also a part of the pom squad. She was also the Head Director of the Veterans Memorial Starline Dance Team in Corpus Christi, Texas. Katelyn plans on getting her MFA in Dance and will continue pursuing her passion as a dance educator.
Jayda graduated from Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas in 2013. She was a four-year member of the Bowie Belles and served as Captain both her Junior and Senior years. Jayda then became a Tyler Junior College Apache Belle where she served as Team Chaplain and Dance Captain her Sophomore year. Jayda graduated from Sam Houston State University with her Bachelor’s Degree in business management. Jayda is now a business teacher and dance director for Shepherd Middle and High School and is in her 5th year at HTEDance.
Miguel graduated from San Marcos High School where he was a two-year member of the Diamond Line Dance Team. He went on to graduate from Sam Houston State University with a BFA in Dance. While attending SHSU, he was a three-year member of the six-time National Championship winning Orange Pride Dance Team. He currently resides in Dallas, where he is a part of The Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue Hip Hop Crew. Miguel is also the Head Coach of the UT Dallas Power Dancers!
Savannah graduated from Summer Creek High School where she was a four-year member and Captain of the Starlettes. Savannah served as Miss Texas Teen where she helped her community and raised awareness about political and social issues important to her. Currently, she is the youngest sales woman at her job and has earned a spot in the top 3 of highest commission-earned statewide. She plans to go back to Texas State University and graduate with a degree in dance, while pursuing a real estate career. She is also a Houston Texans Cheerleader.
Sarah graduated from Keller High School where she was a lieutenant both her Junior and Senior year for the Keller High School Indianettes. As a Freshman at Texas A&M University, she was a member of the Fade to Black Hip Hop Ensemble. She recently graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelors of Interior Design.
Lyndsee graduated from Harker Heights High School where she was a two-year member and Lieutenant of the Harker Heights Crimson Belles. Lyndsee attended McLennan Community College where she was a two-year member and Captain of the National Champion MCC Dance Team. Lyndsee continues her education at Stephen F. Austin State University where she became a two-time National Champion and was a two-year member of the National Champion SFA Dance Team. She recently changed her major to education and will soon graduate. Lyndsee is also a proud owner of a Mini Australian Shepherd puppy named Bella.
Abigail graduated from Northwest High School where she was a four- year member and Major of the Varsity Sidekicks. All four years she was recognized as a member of the HTE Dance and Kick Academy. Abigail just completed two years as a World Famous Kilgore College Rangerette and this summer will be transferring to Oklahoma State.
Mallorie graduated from Forney High School where she was a four-year member and two-year Captain of the Forney Highsteppers. She is a five-time National Grand Champion soloist, four of which were awarded at HTEDance National Championship in San Antonio. Mallorie plans to pursue her dance career by majoring in dance at Sam Houston University as well as trying out for So You Think You Can Dance next year.
Shaq graduated from the University of North Texas where she majored in History with secondary Education and African American Studies. She was a member of the North Texas Dancers for two years. She is also in the Devastating Rho Delta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Inc. Shaq is currently the director of the Juan Seguin Starline Dance Team. She is married and has two adorable kids, Charisse and Mack.
Melanie graduated from North Shore Senior High School where she was a four-year member of the Scarlets Drill Team, serving as Co-Captain her Junior year and Captain her Senior year. Melanie currently attends Texas State University where she is minoring in Business Administration and majoring in Dance Education. Melanie is also a member of the Texas State Strutter where she is the head Pom Leader.
Viri graduated from Lamar High School where she was a three-year member of the Lamar Rangerettes Drill Team, serving as Lieutenant Colonel her Junior year and Colonel her Senior year. Viri was also a member of the HTE Dance Academy. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. While at A&M, she was a member of the Fade to Black Hip Hop Dance Ensemble. Viri recently received her Master's Degree in Nutrition from Texas Woman's University and is now working as a Registered Dietitian at a private endocrinologist practice in Houston. Lastly, Viri is a current member of the award-winning hip hop team from SoReal Dance Studios. Since she joined the team, they have taken home first place trophies at World Of Dance Dallas and Houston.
Isabella graduated from Liberty High School-Frisco in 2017 where she was a four-year member and First Lieutenant of the Red Rhythm Dance Team. She took dance classes at Sheena’s Dance Academy for thirteen years and competed with the company for ten. She is currently attending the University of North Texas and pursuing a dance major with entrepreneurship minor. Isabella is a three-year veteran on the North Texas Dancers.
Kayla recently graduated as Summa Cum Laude from Willis High School where she was a four-year member and two-year Captain of the Sweethearts Dance Team. She has received numerous honors and awards including Regional Grand Champion Soloist and National Runner-Up Soloist. Kayla plans to audition for the Aggie Dance Team at Texas A&M College Station this June and study Biochemistry in the fall.
Kayla recently graduated from Northwest High School in Justin, Texas where she was a three-year member and Major of the Northwest Sidekicks. She has received recognition for her technique and leadership in dance as well as her excellence in academics. She plans to attend the University of Texas in Austin this fall and hopes to dance for the University.
Sydney graduated from China Spring High School in 2018 where she was a four-year member and Captain of the Electric Blues. She received numerous honors and awards including Rising Star and Blue of the Year. Sydney is also a three-year member of the HTE Dance and Kick Academy. Sydney attends the University of Texas at Austin and is double majoring in Communication and Leadership and Dance. She is also on the UT Dance Team currently serving as their Public Relations Coordinator.
Albert recently graduated from Donna North High School where he was a two-year color guard member and competed at state with the Donna North High School Band. Albert was also a two-year member of the Lovely Spearettes and served as Line Officer his Senior year. He received many awards including best performer. Albert has worked with many schools and studios in the Rio Grande Valley helping choreograph and instruct for dancers of all ages. Albert will be attending The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where he will be trying out for the dance team and follow his dream of becoming a Dance Director.
Kaitlin recently graduated from Northwest High School, where she was Captain of the Sidekicks. She was also one of the senior members of her competition dance team. She has been Dancer of the Year at least three times and was named Miss High Kick. She plans to attend the University of North Texas in the Fall.
Lesley graduated from Copperas Cove High School where she was on the dance team all four years holding the Captain position her Senior year. She attended MCC where she was a part of the dance company and went on to win two national collegiate dance championships. From MCC she transferred to Sam Houston State University where she received her BFA in dance. She is now working at Cedar Hill High School as the assistant director to the Highsteppers. This will be Lesley’s sixth year with HTEDance.
Bryan graduated from Longview High School where he was a Viewette Line member and served two years as a Line Officer. He graduated from the Hartford Conservatory in 2007 with a double diploma in Dance Pedagogy and Performance. He has enjoyed a professional choreography and performance career that has taken him throughout the US, Central Europe and Japan. In addition to providing technique workshops and setting choreography on dancers throughout Texas, Bryan was recently Assistant Director of the DeSoto High School Eaglettes and Director of the JV Eaglettes.
Emma graduated from Belton High School where she was a four-year member and Captain of the Belton Magic Belles. She was a three-year member of HTE Dance and Kick Academy. She earned her Associates of Arts Degree from Kilgore College, where she was a World Famous Kilgore College Rangerette. She is currently attending the University of North Texas where she is a member of the North Texas Dancers, serving as Nationals Captain this past year. Emma will be graduating in December with her Bachelor's Degree in Dance with a Minor in Counseling. Emma hopes to pursue a Graduate Degree in Adolescent Counseling.
Vada graduated from Magnolia West High School where she was a four-year member and Captain of the Fillies dance team. She received numerous honors and awards including National Grand Champion Soloist, Regional Grand Champion Soloist and Miss High Kick. Vada was also a four-year member of the HTE Dance and Kick Academy. Vada is currently a World Famous Kilgore College Rangerette! After Kilgore, she plans on auditioning for the Texas Tech Pom Squad and attend Texas Tech to receive a degree in Kinesiology.
Eric graduated from Longview High School in 2016 where he was a one-year member of the Longview High School Viewettes. He received Viewette of the Week and Rookie of the Year. He attends University of Texas at Arlington where is a member of the Mavericks Dance Team.
Mekenzie recently graduated from Taylor High School where she was a four-year member of the Taylor Hi-Steppers, serving as a Second Lieutenant her Junior year and finished her Senior year as Captain. She is an HTE Master High Kick Finalist and ShowTime International Collegiate Kick Master Winner. She is a two-year member of the HTE Dance and Kick Academy, and an HTEDance Solo Finalist for three years. She plans to attend Texas Tech University in the fall to major in Dance and minor in Education.

1) Complete application.
2) Reference letter from your drill team director or dance teacher. This letter must have contact information in case we need to further discuss your reference.
3) Choreograph a solo.
a. Any style you choose
b. Must be 90-120 seconds
c. Perform solo
4) Choreograph an intermediate-level field routine.
a. Perform routine
b. Teach 2 eights of the routine to at least 3 fellow dancers
c. Record yourself teaching the students. This is so we can evaluate your field choreography skills, as well as your teaching skills.
5) Type solo routine notes.
6) Type field routine notes and draw/chart formations.
7) Video yourself executing the following skills. Feel free to add any skills or tricks that you would like us to see in addition to the listed skills.
a. Multiple pirouette left and right (double, triple, quad, etc.)
b. Grand jete/leap
c. Russian/leap in second
d. Axel &/or multiple axels
e. Fouette turns
f. Four eights of straight kicks (prep, kick, prep, kick…)
g. Toe Touch (multiples if possible)
h. Any additional skills (switch tilts, turning leap in second, etc.)

While recording, please wear all black dance attire with hair pulled back out of the face. Performance makeup is appropriate.

We want you to be aware of the fact that if you are chosen to become part of our staff, you are not guaranteed a full summer of work. Camps are assigned based on seniority and skill. This also allows those who need time to prepare for college to do so.
Look for a reply regarding your application by mid-February at which time you will be given future dates and requirements should you be chosen to join our family.
