Kristen is a graduate of Wylie East High School, where she was a 4 year member and Lieutenant of the Sapphires. After high school Kristen plans to attend Collin College for two years, and then transfer to Texas A&M Corpus Christi to major in marine biology. Kristen is now starting her rookie year on the HTE staff.
Meredith is a graduate of Northwest High School, where she was a four-year member and a Lieutenant, Captain, and Major of the Northwest Sidekicks. Meredith is a current student at Texas Woman’s University as a Dance Major with a minor in Education. She also performed on the university’s competitive dance team for two years.
Emma is a graduate of Arlington High School where she was a 4 year member serving as lieutenant her sophomore year and captain her junior and senior year. Emma now attends Tyler Junior College where she is a sophomore on the Internationally Famous Apache Belles. This is her veteran year at HTE!

Marc graduated from Port Isabel High School in 2019 where he was a four-year member and two-year Captain of the Silver Belles. He received numerous honors and awards including All Star Dancer, All American Dancer and Best Jumps. Marc is currently attending The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where he will be graduating in the fall of 2024 and follow his dream of becoming a High School Dance Director. This will be Marc’s fifth year with HTEDance.

Molly attends Kilgore College where she is a world famous Kilgore College Rangerette on the 84th line. She will transfer in a few years to Stephen F. Austin State University to major in elementary education and will minor in theatre. She worked this past year for Intensive Dance Company as a ballet assistant and a jazz instructor. She has been dancing for 13 years, and is coming up on her 14th year. This is her second year on staff, and is excited to be back for another with HTE as a veteran staff member.

Ally was a San Antonio Spurs Silver Dancer from 2007-2011. After dancing for the NBA, she moved to NYC and took studio classes in all styles for one year. Ally graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Anthropology. Ally is now in her 7th year as the Diamond Dazzler Director. Ally has worked with professional dance companies for more than 10 years and continues to do so during her summers. Outside of work, Ally is a proud mother of two daughters, Ava (6) and Camryn (3) who are both in dance! Ally also has two dogs, a great dane and pit bull!

Auliya is a soon to be graduate from Palmview High School, where she was a four-year member and a Captain third-year and Major fourth-year. After high school, Auliya plans to attend Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX and major within Pre- Nursing.
Elijah graduated from Killeen High School in 2023. He was a part of the High School Dance Team, the Kangerettes. Elijah is the first black male colonel in my district. This fall he will be attending SFA with a major in dance and a minor in fine arts. In his free time he enjoys Musical theater, Singing, gaming or sleeping.
Brinly is a graduate of Lumberton High School, where she was a 3 year member and captain of the Lumberton Raiderettes. After high school, Brinly attends Kilgore College where she is a World Famous Kilgore Rangerette on the 84th Line. She plans to major in pre-dentistry and become an orthodontist. She enjoys teaching at her local dance studio and choreographing competition routines!
Shaq graduated from the University of North Texas where she majored in History with Secondary Education and African American Studies. She was a member of the North Texas Dancers for two years. She is also in the Devastating Rho Delta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Inc. Shaq is currently the director of the Juan Seguin Starline Dance Team. She is married and has two adorable kids, Charisse and Mack.

After high school, Celeste attended Cisco College and was a two year member of the Wrangler Belles and Captain. She is currently attending the University of Houston to pursue a double major in Dance and Special Needs

Sydney served as 1st Lieutenant her Sophomore and Junior year, and Captain her Senior year. After graduating with honors, Sydney attended the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Communication and Leadership and Dance.

Albert has worked with many schools and studios in the Rio Grande Valley helping choreograph and instruct for dancers of all ages. Albert will be attending The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where he will be trying out for the dance team and follow his dream of becoming a Dance Director.

After high school, Krista plans on attending Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi and majoring in Kinesiology. Krista also has hopes of becoming a drill team director for her high school in the future!

While there, she founded the award winning Dare 2 Defy Dance Team. She ran the program for 3 years and brought the program to Recreational Sports Level where they are able to compete all across the country. Now as the current assistant to the Thomas E Randle High School Royals Dance Team, she has helped assist the team to 2 Overall Grand Championship Titles and 1 Grand Champion title within their 2nd year as a team. In addition to providing technique workshops and setting choreography on dancers throughout Texas, Bryan was recently Assistant Director of the DeSoto High School Eaglettes and Director of the JV Eaglettes.
Caitlyn is a former graduate of Pleasanton high school where she was a four year member of the pacesetters. She served as major her sophomore year and Lieutenant Colonel Her junior and senior year. She then when on to attend Texas Lutheran university and obtained a degree in kinesiology. Now she is working on getting certified in teaching

Requirements:
1) Complete application.
2) Reference letter from your drill team director or dance teacher. This letter must have contact information in case we need to further discuss your reference.
3) Choreograph a solo.
a. Any style you choose
b. Must be 90-120 seconds
c. Perform solo
4) Choreograph an intermediate-level field routine.
a. Perform routine
b. Teach 2 eights of the routine to at least 3 fellow dancers
c. Record yourself teaching the students. This is so we can evaluate your field choreography skills, as well as your teaching skills.
5) Type solo routine notes.
6) Type field routine notes and draw/chart formations.
7) Video yourself executing the following skills. Feel free to add any skills or tricks that you would like us to see in addition to the listed skills.
a. Multiple pirouette left and right (double, triple, quad, etc.)
b. Grand jete/leap
c. Russian/leap in second
d. Fouette turns
f. Four eights of straight kicks (prep, kick, prep, kick…)
g. Any additional skills (switch tilts, turning leap in second, etc.)
8) On the video, briefly tell with us why you want to become part of our staff.
While recording, please wear all black dance attire with hair pulled back out of the face. Performance makeup is appropriate.

We want you to be aware of the fact that if you are chosen to become part of our staff, you are not guaranteed a full summer of work. Camps are assigned based on seniority and skill. This also allows those who need time to prepare for college to do so.
Look for a reply regarding your application by mid-March at which time you will be given future dates and requirements should you be chosen to join our family.
